Globe has recently introduced it’s Unlichat service. Unlichat allows you to use your mobile phone to chat with your Yahoo Messenger buddies. Unlichat is an application that you can download from Globe that enables you as a Globe subscriber to use Yahoo’s instant messaging service.
Until October 4, the Unlichat service of Globe Telecoms will be free of charge. If you are a Globe mobile service user, just download the Unlichat software and you can start chatting with your friends.
The following handsets are currently supported:
- Nokia: 3230, 6120c, 6630, 6680, N70, N73, N76, N80, N95, E65
- Sony Ericsson: K610i, K800i, K810i, W810i, W910i, W880i, W660i
Looks like Motorola and Samsung mobile phone users will have to wait a little longer but the list of supported mobile phones is being continuously updated by Globe.
The service will be free of charge during the trial period from September 5 – October 4. After October 4, subscribers will be prompted to purchase credits to use the service:
- P25 for 1 day unlimited access
- P100 for 5 days unlimited access
- P200 for 15 days unlimited access
To avail of the currently free service, you can text CHAT to 2979.
You will get an SMS with the link www.unlichat.com. Click on the link or open it from your mobile internet browser. Click the BUY link to download the UNLICHAT application through your phone’s internet browser. (Note that Price is P0.00 and that downloading of application is free of charge.)
