US Company Global Sky is selling a completely turnkey 70-seat office at the 8th Floor Raffles, Ortigas, Philippines. Price Tag: $150,000

It is not hard to see why companies are rushing to go offshore– the average salary for a call center agent in the Philippines is $300 to $500 compared with the average salary of a US, UK, Australian or Canadian agent that can be thousands of dollars more.

Global firm puts up first call center in RP

The Resource Group (TRG), a global business process outsourcing company, opened Monday its Manila operations. Subsidiary TRG Philippines Inc. said it has infused around $4.2 million to launch the 850-seat facility in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, seen to employ about 1,000 agents.
